Having other people posting keeps me motivated to try to beat this challenge. If only I was posting I would be done with it after a few days.

Anyway haven't watched shit, but I definitely will try to watch as many movies as I can since I will be handing out candy tomorrow,

          15. Nightmare Before Christmas
          16. Child's Play

So much for being at 20+ by the end of the month. Will try to make up for it this weekend.

Evil Dead was pretty shlocky, the effects don't really hold up (Like say Alien or Thing, but those are major budget movies so I can't knock of too many points), and the acting at points were sup bar, but you could tell the director was trying with the means he had.

Nightmare Before Christmas. First time viewing and wow, I can tell why this has captured people even almost 30 years after it released. The stop motion animation was spectacular. The singing and the atmosphere of the movie was very captivating. Alwas wanted to see this movie ever since I played Kingdom Hearts but never got around to it. Plot itself was pretty underwhelming but the presentation and animation quality makes up for it. very creative and inventive movie.

Child's Play. you kow earlier I said slashers tend to be really terrible movies, but this not so much. The last time I saw this was about 8 years ago so I still kind of remember the gist of the plot but it really is an interesting premise. Chucky really does have such a sinister and wicked personality and what makes him so scary is how manipulative he can be. I' really reccomend you check it out. the sequels I remember being garbage though.

Shame I couldn't get to the movies that I had planned for such as The Faculty, The Host, Psyco, and Paranorman. Will get to them later but for October I wanted to focus on Horror movies.

Anyway, for November I'm gonna focus on Action movies. Of course I will branch out, but that's what will be the focus. What I have lined up for is the following:

          Spiderman 1,2,3
          Terminator 1 and 2
          Crank
          Mad Max (And Fury Road)
          Total Recall
          Die Hard
          Speed
          the Matrix
          Fight Club
Avatar (I know it's the biggest movie of all time, but I've never actually seen it)
          No Country for Old Men
          Drive
          Tim Burtons Batman

Will also take a look at The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Psycho, Prisoners, Godfather.

Also gonna start checking out some foreign movies as I've been meaning to see movies from other cultures as well. Was going to watch some of Jackie Chans old stuff, some John Woo, that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Live Action Movies, that Parasite movie I've been hearing about a lot. Feel free to recommend me some foreign movies.

Towards the end of the month I will probably rewatch the Lord of the Rings movies

I enjoyed The Autopsy of Jane Doe a lot.
Andre Ordeval did Scary Stories which I went to in theaters this year. I thought that the reason I was on the edge of my seat was because of nostalgia, but I think it was his storytelling style.
I thought it was pretty interesting and tried to keep you on your toes. There were a few points where I guessed exactly what was going to happen pretty early on, but it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment.

Didn't watch much this weekend since I wanted to get through VTMB.

Anyway, it was ok. It was an anime movie I guess. Nothing to write home about. Only watched it because though I've seen all the previous seasons I've never seen the movie. Might ass well have haven't.

Oh yeah that's right, I'm also doing this (or at least just logging shit, lol)

Kong: Skull Island (2017) - 11/2/2019: Entertaining, but not my favorite kong movie.

Joker - 11/3/2019: Very well made and definitely worth seeing regardless of the controversy. Very nice tie-in at the end with Bruce, and overall an impressive performance by Joaquin Phoenix.

I feel Skull Island was more getting ready for King of Monsters and everything that comes after. Some of the Kaiju in the movie were pretty great. I loved the spider guy impaling people.

That makes sense. And yeah, the giant spider was pretty cool.

Pretty good movie. I really enjoyed the cinematography. The movie was quite tense at times and I got serious Sicario vibes as I was watching it (Speaking of which, though I saw it pretty recently at about 2 or 3 years ago I should give it a rewatch.)

                        Though what's bullshit was

They brought back so much money that it overburdened a helicopter. I kind of call bullshit on that. Sure, huge stacks of paper can be quite overwhelming, but they didn't bring back nearly enough to look like it be a problem.

Also, that sequel hook was pretty surprising, especially considering how mundane them dropping _____ seemed in the movie.

Next up is probably Spiderman or Tim Burton's Batman.

It's one of my favorite bad movies. I love Marlon Wayans. His performance is basically just him in the first season of Wayans Bros in a D&D setting.

Finally made it to the 20s. 80 more movies to go...Yea there is no way I'm making it. Still, hopefully I can reach 70s at least.

Anyway, Batman Begins. I was actually gonna watch Tim Burton's Batman but decided to watch this for whatever reason. Still really good. Quite timeless, with everyone giving their A game. I was suprised thar Liam Neeson was in this (I haven't seen this movie since I was in 6th grade). I also really liked the take on Scarecrow. The Batman voice is pretty goofy though.

Cold Pursuit. Also good movie starring Liam Neeson. It's an action movie but not really sparse on the action (Oh it's there but not what you'd expect.) Also has some scumbag antagonist that I really hated and want to see with a bullet in their chest.

First time seeing it. Was pretty good and it's weird to see so many recognized actors so young after years of seeing them older. Really love the dark and gloomy atmosphere of the movie and the gothic architecture of the buildings. You can tell this is the movie that influenced most of Batman's current media.

'twas aight. I usually don't like sci-fi because it's particularly difficult to pull off convincingly (especially time travel), but I like how they transposed an antiquated notion in a futuristic setting and crime mysteries are always fun. Kinda on-the-nose, not to mention melodramatic, about today's admittedly charged political climate though, but whatever. Pretty stalwart performances from mostly unknowns as well.

Watched a few years ago and watched it on a whim. This really is one of those movies that even though it is relatively recent, will be regarded as an instant classic.

Also has some of the most brutal action and abrupt scenes I've seen in a while.

Tonight I plan to watch Terminator and Spiderman.

I watched the Chronicles of Narnia (the lion and the other stuff) and Kill Bill Vol. 1 in the last couple days.

Narnia definitely feels like a generic fantasy but with animal people, not a whole lot of substance in it beyond that. But the nostalgia was pretty strong, at least for me.

Kill Bill is fucking insane lol. I love how it opens with what became a meme, and then there's a full fight before anyone has any dialogue (besides the opening hook). It just jumps right the fuck into what it wants to do.
