You're going to need more than being young/bigger/explosive to beat a man like Jones.

That's why it sucked that Rumble retired so early; there's no one else at LHW that can challenge Jon at this point. He's gotten even better than before, and he's shown that in his second fight with Gus.

The only kind of fighter I see beating Jon is a freak show where a bigger knock out artist like Rumble can get a lucky hit in and put him to sleep. Any other moment Jon would just take Rumble down almost as easy as DC has in the past and beat him up.

Both main event and co-main event was epic. Max vs Dustin was close, don't mind Dustin getting the nod, but it wasn't unanimous.

Can't wait for Reaper vs Stylebender.

Bro did you see the striking stats. Max was more hurt but how much you wanna bet he could go on for longer than Porier. He has infinite heart stamina and chin. And again the striking rate max was killing it aside from round 1 and that big knee he took in round 3 or round 4

No doubt Max had more gas left in the tank, and Poirer had hard time keeping up. But IIRC they were mentioning under new scoring system, harder/significant strikes get the nod over volume. I wouldn't have mind either one winning. I like Max more, but Dustin worked his ass to get this point, and was good seeing him have that moment.

Oh damn I was watching without commentary at a bar and didnt know about the new ruling system. Ok so the new ruling system it can be good for fights like yoel vs whittaker 2 and it will be good in general but in my humble opinion they really fucked this fight and max over. I can 100% see why people would say dustin won but as I was watching it I thought a split decision coming. Gotta rewatch it cause 49-46 doesnt seem right cause Max still had poirer hurt on at least 2 occassions and was outpacing him since start of the second round. Anyway what a SICK ASS FIGHT. Max still sits at the top of the mountain as THE fighter to watch

Israel vs Gastelum damn what a beastly ass fight from both. Adesanya definitely won but I cant see him beating Whittaker unless that war with Romero has taken a toll on him

Not the "proper" thread for this but Khan got cracked (as expected), though Crawford won in such a lame way. What's funny is that I can't definitively say that Khan took a dive in R6 because he started putting in that work during R5 after previously being dominated. If he actually did though, he deserves all the backlash he's getting.

Wonder how he'd fare against a younger, lighter Mayweather. Crawford, obv

                  Crawford vs Khan

That hit was clearly a low blow, but it definitely wasn't a nut shot. The second camera angle showed the uppercut tag his upper right thigh clean.

Khan or more specifically Virgil wanted out that fight. Didn't even wait out the minutes just called it. He was taking needless punishment since round 2. The occasional decent 1,2 can't save you from an asswhipping.

Bud was sparking him and completely controlling the distance. Once the body shots started it was all she wrote. I could see a KO happening around the 8th if they both kept that pace. Bud landed a fight high 27 punches in one round. Virgil was ready to throw in the towel since round 4.

Shakur Stevenson is a monster. Ward had that big ass shit eating grin after that fight.

He made Diaz look below average. I can't see any of the top feather weights beating him right now. Kid has some of the most advanced pure boxing skills I've seen since Floyd Jr

Teofimo just being Teofimo. That body shot was disgusting.

As for the Danny Garcia fight....why was that kid even in there with him. That shit was a gimmie tune up. No way in hell was he serious about fighting Spence so we're definitely getting Swift and Porter Porter. Either that or Bud and Swift and the winner goes at Porter's belt and then that winner goes at Spence.

LOL, this man Khan really said he'd "rather get knocked the FUCK out than duck out" just now. Dude crazy. Either way though, V was def calling the shots. Couldn't let the prize rooster get too scuffed.

Lightweight. Anything above that and he gets the Pac treatment (despite being much younger). Kid is probably the best P4P boxer currently fighting to be sure, but it's all relative... the P4P GOATs of past eras, even excluding Floyd, would tool him.

Speaking of Pac, this nigga might really become the next president of the Philippines. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat has Trump done to the world

Good night of fights. Cowboy did his thing, since Dustin will be fighting Khabib. Cowboy vs Gaethje should happen next, cause Ferguson and Mcgregor are wildcards.

Jacobs vs Canelo was decent. Both are really fundamentally sound boxers, so it was bound to end in a close decision.

LMAO and to think people were so sure that Canelo and Jacobs would be a knockout and fireworks.

Naaaah fights at those levels with boxing that good more often than not goes to the cards.

Douglas Lima's KO of MVP was nasty. And Rose was lighting up Andrade, up until that slam.

Unless it's the stuck in the mud heavyweight division then there is almost 0 risk of a knockout.
