God will permit me to be called a Christian again, but...

He spoke to me and said that I had it right: There's actually a much simpler and more perfect way to believe in God.

Namely, Jesus said that he "Came forth from the Father".

Well, if this is the case, nobody can go wrong by worshiping the Father directly, with or without knowledge of Jesus.

inspiration and infallibility of scripture is probably a false dogma, since the Apocrypha have been shown to be false books, and since both Genesis and Revelation have to be taken as allegory, not literally true. This is a problem, because some later books make direct claims that there was a literal man Abraham and a literal woman Sarah, for example, even though The Apostle Paul claimed it was an Allegory. For example, John Baptist said "God is able to raise up children of Abraham from these stones...," and Jesus said, "Abraham rejoiced to see my day."

Jesus also seems to have taught that there was a literal Great Flood and a literal prophet Noah. If this is the case, the event must have happened much farther back in time than simply adding up the ages of men in the Bible. The closest event to the Great Flood which has evidence in the fossil record and in ice core samples would be the Great Toba Super Volcano eruption, some 73,000 years ago, which is thought to have killed all but about 1000 reproducing females on Earth...but there was no Ark then, and the Mega-fauna in Astralia survived this event, only to be hunted to extinction by man about 30,000 years later.

Thus I don't think we can take much of anything in the Book of Genesis literally: God created the Heavens and the Earth, but he did it in a manner which is not very similar to what the Book claims.

As for Jesus, as the Only Begotten Son of God, I wish he had taught physicians about the Vaccine and antibiotics, because as it stands, Louis Pasteur saved more sheep than Jesus. However, this remains consistent, because Jesus said his disciples would do greater works than himself. Thus Pasteur's Anthrax Vaccine and Rabies Vaccine were fulfillment of Bible Prophecy.

Well, some people just wear them because it makes them look "cool".

In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus is recorded as saying nobody knows the Father unless the Son reveals him. This strikes me as not being something a True Prophet would say, because believe in at least some form of God has been the normal, not the exception, throughout human history and pre-history. Moreover, the God revealed himself to Moses at the Burning Bush, without mention of any Messiah at that time.

A christian pastor would claim that the Father and Son are one and the same anyway, but I think there needs to be a distinction:

The Father must be past eternal.
The Son, being "Begotten", must not be past eternal.
The Holy Spirit, which flows forth from the Father, must also not be past eternal.

I am left with no option other than to trust my own experience more than Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, etc.

On the other hand, conventional Trinitarian theology holds that all three members of the Trinity are co-eternal, which appears to me to be a contradiction.
