Social liberalism is the more mainstream form of modern liberalism that endorses diversity, expansive of civil rights, social programs for the poor and the disenfranchised, and government regulation of unethical/predatory business practices. And further endorses the idea that healthcare and education are public goods; not market commodities. But is still a fundamentally capitalist ideology, insofar as it endorses the legitimate role of the free market in organizing the productive sectors of the economy and creating private wealth and does not view capitalism as something inherently evil that needs to be destroyed.

Only regulated, to restrain its more predatory impulses. Capitalism is an otherwise desirable system that yields net-boons of worker productivity and market surplus.

Libertarian socialism is a more radical, anti-capitalism form of leftism that rejects the role of markets and the legitimacy of private wealth entirely. However, it also rejects the authority of The State. So it doesn't posit that government should have any real role in implementing leftist socialist policies--it just sorta expects people to do it on there own and for "the commune" to collectively run its own shit at the local level in the absence of any real state or market institutions somehow???

Doesn't sound like an even remotely feasible way to run a country, tbh.

Libertarian socialists are basically the dopes showing up at Occupy Wall Street Protests and shouting that the corporations and the politicians better listen to them or they'll be hell to pay. But then refuse to vote because "theres no different between a Donald Trump and a corporate Democrat. They're all post-colonial imperialist kryptofacists mannnnnnnnnnnn."

should be apparent from those comments, but in case it isn't: I fully endorse social liberalism as good practice, and think libertarian socialists are rather silly.

And the libertarian socialists I know would all have some rather unflattering things to say about my politics. (or more accurately "use to know"--don't hang out with them anymore. There aren't really any people with that ideology who i particularly care to associate with these days--they all grew up into whiny, unpleasant man-children with nothing going on except the masturbatory sense of self-satisfaction they get from how "woke" they are)

Test fucked up putting me in the [libertarian socialism] camp.

Social liberalism--much better descriptor of where I'm at.

Im guessing it's largely to do with my stance on insidious superstitions and how they have an unfortunate tendency to hamper progress (yes i know i sound like a fedoratheist meme right now but holy shit dude holistic medicine triggers the fuck out of me), also I quite liked the idea of universal healthcare....then again who doesnt lol even alot of conservatives are on board with it

Even still, though, I kinda figured I'd at least score closer to the center after effectively saying fuck the UN, fuck the EU, and fuck globalism
