    Gamers are the new weebs

Fornite just completed its """World Cup.""" And despite having (even) less athleticism than the Women's World Cup, people actually watched this garbage. Kys, lol.

    Fornite is garbage.

But at least it's better than soccer.

I don't play that trash game, but maybe "nite" has a double meaning and is alluding to "knight," which would make a lot more sense (with respect to "fort" too, thematically).

Yeah, we need Apex Legends World Cups to restore the credibility of this sacred community.

I doubt anything associated with that game is that clever

I just looked it up, and apparently it was originally supposed to be a survival game, so you wanted to build a fort by night time. Also they were working on it for like seven or eight years, lol

That's... depressing. Though, I suppose I brought it on myself, uncharacteristically giving people credit so willy-nilly. I won't make that mistake again. :I

Yeah, the battle royale mode is just an add-on to the original Fortnite, that became infinitely more popular than the main game after PUBG came about.

I sometimes watch Starcraft 2 tournaments. But the best player is a 2vs2 specialist who goes by the screen name "ProTech". His Match Maker Rating in 2vs2 is in the seventh standard deviation, which is ridiculous. he is always ranked number 1 in the world.

I dunno, maybe there is no such competition as of yet that is entertaining enough to be enjoyed as a spectator alone. I rather play myself than watch strangers do it unless I were gambling or something

Never got this logic, how are you going to assemble 44 (minimum) people and play a game of tackle football? Who are you cage fighting? The appeal of sports is watching the greatest athletes in the world compete against each other, you don't have to enjoy it but the appeal is obvious.

May as well never watch movies, listen to songs, or read books either then. You could be creating them yourself.

Protech plays "Random" so he is a Grand Master of all three races, if that makes anyone more impressed with my earlier post.

Some people watch every major Starcraft Tournament. I used to watch maybe one or two professional matches per month. Now I only watch one or two professional matches per year. Protech is reallly the best player, but he doesn't play 1vs1 he got bored with it. He plays 2vs2. He's beaten some of the best 1vs1 specialists in 1vs1 and especially 2vs2 so I know he's the best player. The 1vs1 Pros are 5 standard deviation players, but Protech is a 7 standard deviation player So he's as far beyond other Grand Masters as they are beyond Diamond players, two leagues below them..

I've seen Protech 1vs2 against two Master's League players while his Gold league ally did nothing....and win th egame, which is insane. I can't last more than 5 minutes against a Masters League player.
