I figured you wouldn't have, but I was just curious.

It's like having a doctor's opinion on House, but for lawyers.

Just found out that my license plate got stolen. Not sure when it was, but I assume it happened last weekend by someone from my apartment complex. Gonna have to tape a sheet of paper with my license number written in Sharpie until I get a replacement, so that should be interesting.

Is that a thing that happens? Or is somebody screwing with you? I mean... What kind of deranged asshat steals a license plate?

Someone that's planning to do something illegal in a car, I'd imagine.

It’s actually not that new to me.

My brother (well, my disowned brother to be a bit more precise) did the same thing, although he just picked up license plates sitting around rather than ripping ‘em off cars. Apparently, because he was having car troubles at the time.

I've been wondering why Sony doesn't implement multi-device pairing for quite a while now, they can easily do that especially since they have an app for them, not to mention that they have many good ANC wireless headphones across different price ranges. They seem rather dedicated to ANC technology in a way that clearly doesn't infringe on any patents Bose may have on it, being the creators of it.

Also I like how Microsoft copied Apple's W1 chip for one of their new devices.

On the other hand, I figured out what happened with my aid.

Apparently, between Friday and today, my aid disappeared and then magically reappeared on Monday to pay for everything.

...So I had to deal with a case of the ninja aid for the past 4 days...

...Well, it worked out, not complaining too much.

You should... Both shows are pretty good. Also, Orgy is right, I'd be sort of interested in hearing your opinion on all the lawyering in Better Call Saul. I've heard they actually do a decent job.

Me: “Okay, multicultural literature, where will we start...Europe? Africa? India? China? Lots of cultures around the world. Lots of time periods to choose too, like old times or contemporary. I wonder what the Shakespeares of other cultures are... I’m sure it won’t be SJW nonsense, I’m sur-“

Class: “Hahahaha, you thought this was about multicultural stuff around the world? Pathetic mongrel you are! This is gonna be about American sub-cultures...except the sub-culture of Europeans...we forget about them when we were making the curriculum...”

Me: “...Ok...so where do we start?”

                          Class: “Native Americans.”

Me: “Alright. So what’s their culture? Their literatures? I know their religion, if you could call it that, was different, their values and cultural aspects varied among the tribes, so there’s a lot to dig up about these guy-“

Class: “Oh, you thought we were gonna analyze their unique culture? We’re just gonna look at literature where Native Americans are sad about what Europeans did to them. Same for the other minorities. That’s all that matters...minorities that are sad cuz Europeans...”

Me: “...Will there be anything else...?”

Class: “We’ll talk about racism...and whiteness.”

Me: “ANYTHING else besides racism? Please, I hear about this shit all the time, can I learn about culture that isn’t just about being sad-“

Class: “The importance of skin color variation, and going against the grain of historical failures...read this textbook!”

Me: “...Okay. Let’s see...diversity...diversity...diversity...Wait what? The American identity isn’t about whiteness, it’s specifically about people of different cultures coming to one place over a singular identity over specifically held values about things, like liberty, freedom, and you know, all that patriot stuff over being freedom-loving peop-“

My textbook: “Fuck off. That was the OLD American identity that was only done to disguise the REAL identity that Americans held all along! Now American identity is all about SKIN COLOR!”

Class: “Are you excited to become WOKE!?”

Me: “...Why did I expect anything else from this class...”

On the bright side, tho, I only go through this class, and I’m done with gen eds, cuz I can transfer the credits, get a degree, and avoid 5 more gen ed classes.

I once took a class called "social problems" for a sociology/psychology type credit.

It was an aggressively liberal class that said inequality is the source of all of the world's problems and the teacher offhandedly implied that capitalism needs to be done away with.

To be fair on my teacher, he said “I ain’t here to bash whiteness,” but if you need to say that, there might be something a little off with the subject matter.

And that’s what I’m noticing, apparently.

The material forces things to be kind of absurd.

So while the teacher doesn’t seem aggressively Liberal, the material is, and it sticks out.

I kind of feel cheated. If it just said it was about American sub-cultures and specifically how the white man came in and made the minorities sad, I’d have at least known what I was getting into. Instead it gave me hope for something more interesting...

                                  Alright.

                                  So that’s what happened...

The quick summary had nothing to do with the actual subject matter, and that’s what I glanced.

Literary themes examined through the comparison of works from various cultures. AH-Literature and Humanities (W).
                                  The learner outcomes, tho...

Identify major literary themes and concepts that appear in American multicultural literature such as changing definitions of personal, cultural, and national identity, slavery, diaspora, racism, nativism, the American Dream, social protest, the labor movement, feminism, cultural differences, religion, and the Civil Rights movements.

                                  I wasn’t cheated.

I just didn’t investigate anything beyond that one vague sentence. :/

you might be able to withdraw, if it's only been a week or so. Usually they wait until after that to go off the rails though.

Well mine is only three days:

Day 1: One paragraph on Prez Jackson justifying relocation.
Day 2: One poem about a disgruntled Native American that encounters racist kids and beats a kid up, and another about raisins.
Day 3: Full on “Socialism is cool, Capitalism sucks, your skin color’s important, whites are kind of privileged” tier stuff.

Just got done with day 3 a few minutes ago.

Great thing that the humanities are dying in the university...if they’re entirely comprised of this stuff, they deserve to die...
