                Just make something from whatever you have lying around that doesn't cost anything, but is charming enough to be a present...don't do that for every present, but at least a few can help bring costs down.

                All the family members did that on Christmas three times already. I made:

                A paper flower for my mom (it was a last minute effort).
                A funny picture for my brother (also a last minute effort).
                And:
                A parody of the Super Mario Bros NES home screen that I recreated pixel by pixel, adding/editing in all sorts of shit, that I gave to my sister (not a last minute effort, so it was a lot better than the last two).

                And I got a homemade clock with mathematical operations that each evaluate out to 1-12. For example, 4 is: (50/2) = (100/x)

                I'm probably gonna do something artsy again this Christmas...it seems to be something I'm good at with enough time, lol.

                  I just do custom Christmas cards and and put $20 in it, usually.
